Mads Forsby (b. 1985) can already boast a wide-ranging career as a musician and composer.
He is interested in sound installations and film music and plays drums in numerous different contexts. His activities derive from an unorthodox approach to improvisation, exploration of sound and noise and diverse manipulations of the acoustic sounds of drum sets. He is in the process of recording his first solo issue, and also composes and produces material in other constellations. He will complete his BA in music at the Danish Academy of Rhythmic Music in 2013.

He will complete his BA in music at the Danish Academy of Rhythmic Music in 2013.
In the course of his studies, Mads Forsby has been co-organiser of the Altermusik improvisation festivals and also been involved in established the stage of the conservatory students at Copenhagen Jazzhouse.
Mads Forsby has furthermore cooperated, recorded and played concerts with Beholder (August Rosenbaum), Frisk Frugt, YOYOOYOY, Pagten, Pinkunoizu, Girls In Airports, Hurrah Ensemble, Else Marie Pade, T.S. Høeg, Thomas Morgan, Jakob Bro, Lotte Anker, Plants, MASK and Quadron. He has appeared at festivals and in concert halls in Europe, Asia, South America and USA.
Scholarship from the Léonie Sonning Music Foundation
Mads Forsby has received a scholarship of DKK 60,000.
The scholarship will be used to expanding a studio, purchase of instruments and for the mastering and run-off of his own issue.
